Share Since the first players decided to rip the flip lids off their hoppers in the hopes of feeding a split second faster, various companies have attempted to create products to allow them to do precisely that, while not spilling paintballs. The simple concept of feeding faster by removing a hopper lid has spawned an industry of-sorts, with numerous companies putting their vision of the ideal lidless feeding system into the paintball world. While some have been more successful than others, one that regularly sells out and is continually mentioned among the best is the Exalt Feed Gate.

Light and uncomplicated, the universal Exalt Feed Gate features a rear lip that aligns pods while reloading and bolts easily onto practically any hopper. While a custom unit has been manufactured for the Dye Rotor that is available in Exalt’s signature lime green or basic black, the standard unit clamps easily onto the HALO, the Magna, the Pulse, the Viewloader Revolution, the Spyder Fasta, the Pinokio and even the standard Cyclone Feed loader of the Tippmann A5. New adapters have recently been released allowing the standard Feed Gate to be used on the Viewloader VLocity and VLocity Select Force loaders, letting players with practically every loader in existence to attend the Exalt party. Recently, Pinokio has even contracted Exalt to create a “private label” Pinokio Feed Gate in red.

While fitting on any loader on the market and walking out the door at under twenty dollars retail are both great things, the most important feature of the Exalt Feed Gate is its performance. Loading with the Feed Gate installed is as simple as pulling a pod, flipping the lid and aligning it in the neighborhood of the lip at the bottom of the feed gate. The paint drops into the loader practically like there’s no lid at all and, just as critical, it doesn’t come back out during play, no matter how hard the dive or rough the slide.

Inexpensive upgrades for paintball equipment that actually perform well and provide a valuable service are rare. Exalt’s Feed Gate is one of the rare ones, as it works as-advertised and costs very little. For tournament players or anyone who just wants to reload faster, the Exalt Feed Gate is a great buy. www.ExaltPaintball.com
