Tournament paintball players used to have all the fun. They got all the technology, money, ingenuity and style the paintball industry could muster thrown at them on a regular basis while the recreational and scenario players either picked up the scraps or waited for a trickle-down. Times have changed and the paintball world has finally figured out that recreational paintball drives the industry, tournament paintball is contracting and scenario play continues to grow. Proof that the paintball industry has recognized this shift is are a host of new and well-designed products specifically targeting serious scenario players like the new Pro pants and jersey from BT Paintball.

BT Paintball has risen since its debut to become one of the premier manufacturers of mil-sim paintball equipment thanks to their commitment to quality and reliability, not to mention a healthy understanding of style. Their markers, like the BT-4, TM-7 and TM-15, have become favorites thanks to their outstanding combination of aggressive, military styling and rugged toughness. Their clothing and other soft goods combine sturdy construction with popular and effective camouflage patterns to deliver exactly what a woodsball player needs, the ability to look good and be comfortable while blending in to their surroundings. BT’s first line of Pro clothing handled this job well, combining tournament paintball function and features with a dark digital camouflage pattern that both looked the part and handled the job. The new BT Pro Pants and Jersey take this concept to a new level of style, performance and functionality.

BT Pro Pants
Heavy enough to handle rough-and-tumble paintball in less than ideal weather and terrain, yet light and comfortable enough to be worn in all seasons, BT’s new Pro Pants are every bit the equal of the flashy, tournament pants that many brands like Empire, Dye or Eclipse put their professional players in every season. However, they have been designed not as a tournament pant with some camouflage slapped on, but rather as a hard core scenario set of pants that happen to incorporate the features players hiding behind colorful inflatable bunkers might find useful. The result is an outstanding set of paintball pants that can handle anything thrown at them, 24 hour game after 24 hour game.

Attractive yet subdued thanks to a Terrapat camouflage pattern that resembles and performs like Multi-Cam, the pattern recently adopted by the British military and US Army for some units serving in the challenging terrain of Afghanistan, BT’s Pro Pants are packed with features. Semi-rigid, adjustable rubber knee pads make crawling through rough terrain or playing for extended periods in a kneeling position possible without pain and won’t shift while moving or sliding. An adjustable waistband allows players to tailor their pants to the ideal fit and plenty of ventilation allows air to move, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable on long hikes to bases or extended missions. BT provided plenty of pockets for their top-level pants as well, allowing players to carry everything from squeegees and rags to ID cards and equipment securely.

BT Pro Jersey
While a good pair of paintball pants will handle just about any style of play well, paintball jerseys are something of a different animal where hard core scenario or mil-sim play are concerned. Many serious scenario players wear vests that cover the entire upper torso rather than a simple pack around the waist, changing how air flows around a player’s upper body and making flashy patterns and big logos on a jersey’s chest area unnecessary. BT figured this out and designed a Pro jersey that looks good on its own yet can be matched with a full assault rig or load bearing vest.

The BT Pro jersey, with its Terrapat camouflage sleeves and extremities, matches the BT Pro Pants perfectly for an stylish and attractive uniform appearance, and features just enough light brown and black to break up a player’s signature in any environment. Plenty of arm padding is included to make crawling or playing from the prone position easier, as are thumb loops that will keep the sleeves and their pads in exactly the right place. The soft, low-cut collar will make even hours of play comfortable and a zipper allows players to open the jersey around the chest for comfort and increased ventilation.  The BT Pro jersey is athletically cut, allowing it to be worn under a vest with ease.

Matching Set
When worn together, the BT Pro Pants and Jersey make a great-looking combination for serious woodsball players. More importantly, both the pants and jersey are well-made, comfortable, packed with useful features and their camouflage pattern moves from the West Coast hills to the East Coast’s woods seamlessly, providing just the right balance between concealment and that all-important head-turning style that paintball players of all ages, skill levels and formats love. Whether worn with a tournament-style pack around the waist or in conjunction with a tactical load-bearing vest or rig, both the jersey and pants look good and perform well. Any serious recreational, competitive woodsball or scenario and mil-sim player should give BT’s new Pro Jersey and Pants a serious look!
