Share 68Caliber.com today unveiled its new Word Press based content management system with an entirely new look, new features and a much more timely and responsive backend.
The new site is optimized for Mozilla, but will of course work with other browsers. Viewers may want to remember to hit 'refresh' the next time they visit the site. Among the many improvements that will be immediately apparent are a much more graphically oriented site, the ability to launch embedded video and a variety of other features. Advertisers should note that all articles now feature a header image that in most cases is the logo of the company featured in the story. Advertisers will also notice a change in the size and display locations for advertising. 68Caliber will be releasing a new rate card shortly - one that features the ability to place advertisements throughout the site, on a single story or any combination in between. Ad runs can now be scheduled to run for as little as an hour's time or all season long. Other changes and improvements to note are direct RSS feed ability, Feedburner (let's you receive the news in just about any format you desire), the ability to comment directly on each story and, for our reporters and photographers in remote locations, the ability to post via email. Team players - be it tournament, scenario, pump, stock or anything else you can imagine, please take note of the fact that we've combined all of our reporting on games under the SPORTS category. No more discrimination based on the type of ball you like to play. Media, please take note: 68Caliber will be placing no-cost button ads on the site for all other paintball media outlets. We think it's time that the media start working more closely together and this represents our first steps in this direction. If you are a legitimate media outlet, all you have to do is send us a hi-res copy of the company logo you'd like us to use. We'll be looking at each site and basing inclusion on the merits. Chances are, if you've received this press release (and are a media company), we want to feature you on our site. In related news, the 68Caliber Blog - 2.0 - will now be incorporated into the site as one of the regular features. Please visit and take a look at our new version; we hope you like it. Whether you do or you don't, we'd be more than happy to hear your views.
