Monday 8:45AM: Check out THREE PHOTO GALLERIES here and THREE MORE here. In somewhat of a surprise Chicago Legend won the Pro division of the NPPL DC Challenge. They are a very good team and played great, but still it's a surprise considering teams like Dynasty, Impact and Damage didn't even make the Elite 8. Arsenal finished in second place with Portland Uprising (a strong up and coming team) and Aftershock taking third and fourth. Kudos to the City of Chicago! Impact Echo beat out Warped Army to win the Division One first place trophy and TCP Machine handled Marine Team One in the Division Two finals. TKO Blackout won the D3 bracket and Haze won the D4 Five-Man. Total Grief took the pump title. Saturday 8:45 PM: So Infamous got DQ'd today and the rumors are flying around as to why this happened. One thing most of the rumors have right is that a suspended player (from Chicago) was caught playing with Infamous in DC. All true. The player in question has been speculated on for hours today but we got a message from NPPL Ultimate Tom Cole, the suspended player was Justin Schwartz. Nice job Justin. Saturday 8:30 - We have a NEW photo gallery here, and more here. The Pro bracket was amazingly competitive yesterday. Chicago Legend leads the first Pro bracket with 515 points in 8 games. XSV and Blast are second and third for the moment. The second Pro bracket faces off this afternoon. At the moment Warped Army leads Division One and Marine Team One leads Division Two. In the Five-Man division it's Iron Legion on top mid way through the preliminary rounds. It's another cool morning here in DC with games about to begin. Friday: 4PM - Photo Galleries HERE and HERE. What a perfect, cool, day for paintball in DC and the surrounding suburbs. So far Dynasty is perfect for the 2011 NPPL season, winning both the Huntington Beach and Chicago events in the Pro division. How well they'll do here in DC remains to be seen as the boys in blue don't take to the field until tomorrow. So far this afternoon Oakland Blast is the only perfect Pro team with three wins in three games.XSV and Thunder have two wins and surprisingly Edmonton Impact and Tampa Damage each have won only one of three first round games today. The vibe at the DC Challenge is pretty hot, thanks in part to HK/PB Fashion, spinning tunes in the vendor area all day. Vendors present include Valken, Understood, RP (paint), GI Sportz (paint), KM and a handful of others. Spectator crowds have been building all day - slow this morning and pretty good this afternoon. Tomorrow Pev's has all kinds of stuff happening to bring in spectators so expect the grandstands to be full and the site to be jumping. Down a level in D2, Marine Team One and Minions went 3-0 for the day. Boom, Chicagoland Paintball and MBA each won their first four games. More later.
