For 2012 and beyond, a list of paintball personalities and industry members that reads like a “who’s who” of the paintball game, sport and industry will, by geographic region, advise the Paintball Scholarship organization with selecting the most deserving young paintball players to receive college scholarships! The Paintball Scholarship Fund Foundation Board of Directors: Jim Lively, Bambi Bullard, Tom Kaye, Jessica Sparks, Sal Briguglio, Debra Dion Krischke and Media Director Joshua D. SilvermanEastern Region: Rene & Juvy Boucher, Thomas J. Ghee, M. Carter Brown, Drum Taylor, Johnny Postorivo, Greg Hastings, Gino Postorivo, Mike “Pev” Peverill and Joshua D. Silverman Southern Region: Doug Brown, Wayne and Jackie Dollack, Kerry “Viper” Rosenberry, Ken “Hollywood” Gilder, Andrew and Lee Ann Ferguson and Blue and Sue Hanse Mid West Region: Ray and Paul Dagnino, Tim and Terry Schloss, Tom Cole, Bernie Deak, Dan Colby and Dave and Kelly Massey Western Region: Guy Cooper, Dewayne Convirs and Douglas “Montydoom” Montgomery Southwestern Region: Chuck Hendsch, Bud and Kathy Orr and Randy Kamiya Northwestern Region: Dan Bonebrake, Rod and Melissa Thompson and Mike Cassady Bob Gurnsey, the creator of the sport of paintball and the namesake of the Scholarship Awards, stated “This program is not about me, but rather, about the young players of Paintball who aspire to attend college and who are deserving of such scholarships. This gesture by the paintball community, even during these tough times, exemplifies the commitment of ALL of us to also give back to those amongst us.” The Bob Gurnsey Paintball Scholarship Awards is the namesake organization of Bob Gurnsey, the man who quite literally invented the game of paintball over thirty years ago. A non-profit organization administered by some of the paintball industry’s most distinguished individuals with support from caring players and some of paintball’s most respected companies, the Bob Gurnsey Paintball Scholarship Awards will provide deserving high-school paintball players who wish to attend college the opportunity to win both national and regional scholarships with which to further their education and become positive, productive members of the American workforce.
